Many are the plans in a person’s heart,
but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.
Proverbs 19:21, NIV
Sitting in a meeting doodling a proposal for a sure project was crafted. The drafted proposal was presented to a few friends for review. They unanimously it endorsed success. Timelines and networking began. On the day of the launch, unsettledness hovered over me like a dark cloud.
In attempt to understand what my heart was saying, I sat down to read the scriptures and pray. In reflection clarity was attained. I had not prayed about this project. The approval of man was sought not God. In the January 2019 blog the focused scripture was Matthew 6:33, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Is an initial consultation with God important?
How many times have you set out to complete a task and found yourself praying for God to accept your desired goals after the fact? Think about Abraham’s question presented to God in Genesis 17:18 “So Abraham said to God, “If only Ishmael were acceptable to you!”” (CSB)
Submitting your ideas as you seek God’s will guarantees guidance for building sustainability for any plan in construction. Why consider a Plan B when Plan A is available? The purposes and plans for you are accessible.
In your creativity, marketing for any form of business, ministry or recreation pray, reflect and listen for the purpose of the Lord’s will the source of success. Consider, presenting your ideas to the Lord first.
Prayer Focus: Lord, help us to be driven by your purpose and plan for our lives.
Thank you this was a blessing.
The guidance of the Holy Spirit decreases the stress of make decisions alone.
