It’s February and “love is in the air” a comment I heard amongst a group conversation. There is no question February brings value to relationships on Valentine’s Day and Awareness of heart disease a feature of the Go Red Campaign. They both present symbolism of love, care and compassion for a period of time. How can we foster the atmosphere of love?
This month I found myself preoccupied with many items on my schedule. One in particular was preparation for our church couple’s ball. I watched and listened to others shopping, discussing gift exchanges . . . it was like Christmas all over. It made me wonder what the world would be like if the same efforts of love were practiced everyday ,as expressed on holidays that symbolize love. Sure there are different types of love; however, just imagine what the world would be like. Would it be . . . heaven on earth?
Today’s society need more love demonstrated to dismiss the effects of the works of the devil. Random acts of kindness will give our world hope and point many to Christ. Extend an hand of compassion and draw others with love and kindness. I challenge you to accept the invitation to love others as Christ loves you – unconditionally.
