“Life and death are in the power of the tongue,
and those who love it will eat its fruit.” Proverbs 18:21 (HCSB)
In the valley of decision one might feel like they are dead smack at a fork in a road. The question…”Do I go to the right or the left?” How do you choose between life and death? Selecting the correct course on a journey is just as powerful as the choice of words that the tongue speaks. The average length of the human tongue is approximately four inches, but its power to change one’s destiny is limitless.
Look at the case of a bearing woman believing for a child, a family, praying for a child’s salvation, or the healing of a love one. What about a believing wife or husband wounded by domestic issues? Choosing to speak the truth as God sees it also opens boundless opportunities. The decision to use your tongue in a positive way to speak the Word of truth will ensure the manifestation of blessings. It is so easy to compound a situation that looks like defeat by speaking negative. It is your choice: victory or defeat.
What happens when you realize the choice that you made turns out to be the wrong one? Make a U-turn. Thank God U-turns are permitted. Choose to speak life and live abundantly. Remember, we are on a faith walk, and what you are believing God for may not always manifest immediately like you desire, but for sure you can trust God’s Word. Choices say you have options. Do not let the enemy trick you into speaking destructive words of death over your situation.
Reflection: Follow the lead of the Father. “It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you (fail) or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.” Deuteronomy 31:8 ESV
Prayer: Lord, choices and decisions are before me. Help me to follow your lead. Thanks for Your guidance, even when I have to make a U-turn.
